Joël Lorgeoux

Joël Lorgeoux studied biology and ecology at the University of ​​Bri​ttany (RENNES) and graduated with a Master's in Agronomy and Soil Science (UER/ ENSARR).

After working in environmental impact assessment, he carried out soil surveys and soil mapping with INRA. He gained valuable experience in agriculture and advis​ed farmers ​via​ The Chamber of Agriculture in Eure-et-Loir​ (France)​.

He joined the Agronomic Department in the SCAEL Cooperative Group in 1988 and currently heads the department.  He is a member of the Group's Steering Committee and he develops study programs, trials and references for the cooperative.

 In addition to his position in SCAEL, Joel is a member of the Scientific Board of Arvalis Institut du Végétal, a member of GREN  (Official Expert Group in Nitrogen). He also belongs to technical committees which liase with institutes such as INRA, TERRES INOVIA and other official partners (water agencies, government and civil services, etc.) He works with the technical committees at INVIVO and UTDF as well as agro-environmental committees for sustainable agriculture. He attends conferences organised by NOVAFIELD to promote exchanges between European distributors interested in innovative agriculture.  He develops precision farming and was appointed Director of the GIE Coop & Tech in 2016 ( RTK ).
